1949 Land Rover Series 1

A rare opportunity to acquire a totally correct Series 1 80'' (chassis number R06100274) registered as GEW 696, which was built in the August of 1949 and still retains all of the original parts and accessories. The numbers are all correct as follows:

• Engine No. (rebuilt) 06102364
• Gearbox No. (rebuilt) 06100319
• Front Axle (rebuilt) 061 (rest illegible)
• Rear Axle (rebuilt) 06100378

The restoration was very comprehensive with anything and was completed some time ago but this Series 1 has covered just 291 miles and is in really incredible condition and drives really well.

Our friend who is the restorer and current registered keeper is John Taylor who is very well known within the world of Series 1's. JLR Classic is currently using several of his restored cars as display pieces Worldwide as well as selling his Series 1's at their Classic HQ in Ryton, Coventry
