About

The Home of Classic Range Rovers

All of us at Kingsley share this common love for Range Rovers and Land Rovers having grown up with them around us. We have been restoring, creating Reborn’ Range Rovers for more than 20 years to clients locally, nationally and now internationally with clients throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, UAE, North and South America.

Damon Oorloff — Founder

Given the chance, I will chat all day about Range Rovers — I guess it’s in my blood, you see I was born less than a mile from the Land Rover, Lode Lane factory in Solihull.

In the early 70’s most of our neighbours worked at the Land Rover factory so I was always collecting sales brochures and posters and remember, even as a 6‑year-old in 1971, watching the shiny new Range Rovers leave on transporters finished in wonderful evocative paint names like Masai Red, Bahama Gold, Sahara Dust, Davos White, Tuscan Blue and not forgetting our very British Lincoln Green.

My childhood goal was to own a Range Rover (Classic), I bought my first when I was 19 and have never been without one over the last 35 years all of that time developing and creating parts to improve the drive and the reliability.

Over 20 Years of Service

As we are a family business with traditional values, offering a very personal service we tend to have very long term relationships with our clients.

We are based on the outskirts of Eynsham in Oxfordshire on the A40, between Oxford and Witney, which is 60 miles north-west of London or an hour by train from Paddington to the nearest station Hanborough, where we can by arrangement collect you.

If you are looking for something specific which you can’t find, please give us a call as we often locate Classic Range Rovers to order and have some trade friends with morals who will happily buy your part exchange car.

Dedicated Range Rover & Land Rover workshop

We have a dedicated Range Rover and Land Rover workshop with seven ramps, a welding/fabrication shop, paint shop, parts dept and trim shop.

We often have as many as 10 Range Rover Classics in the various stages of restoration so if you do visit, you are likely to be able to see each stage as it happens.

Our welding and fabrication shop is headed up by our brilliant old school’ Panel Beater. The paint shop is run by Anthony who is supported by Freddie and Chris, the mechanical shop is headed by our Master Technician Paul and we have a wonderful group of technicians building the cars in the main workshop — all of this is overseen by our Head of Production, Danny.

Servicing, Repairs and Upgrades

We can completely restore your Range Rover from the chassis up or can offer lighter repairs for MOT or literally anything in between the two.

Kingsley also re-engineer or RestoMod’ Range Rover Classics with many enhancements including the installation of Chevrolet LS3 430BHP crate engines’, air conditioning systems and supply our unique custom made tubeless Land Rover Rostyle’ wheels in 16’’ diameter with 7J wide rims.

Alongside the restorations, we service and repair all Classic Range Rovers and Land Rovers (we have the latest Land Rover, Autologic & Bosch diagnostics) and we are an approved Ministry MOT class 4 test station for all cars.

Range Rover Classic Bodyshop and Paint Shop

Meticulous bodywork repairs are crucial to the successful restoration of the Range Rover classic.

Due to their construction, a lot of corrosion is hidden from view. It must be properly repaired to retain the structural integrity of the vehicle and prevent the reoccurrence of corrosion in the future.

Over the years Kingsley has built up the knowledge to correctly repair aluminium corrosion and to prepare and carry out bodywork and chassis repairs to the absolute highest standard.

Our Series’ Cars

As well as specialist bodywork and mechanical repairs and upgrades we offer two Kingsley Reborn’ Range Rover Classic Series’ cars. The KC Classic’ restoration where everything is kept original and the KR Re-engineered’ restoration (restomod) where key components are upgraded to improve the drivability, performance, and usability of the car.

Both Series’ cars start with stripping the body-shell which is then separated from the chassis. Every single individual component is removed, cleaned, refurbished, renewed or upgraded. The body-shell is completely refurbished, wheel arches and the underbody are protected with the latest anti-corrosion treatments and then painted.

The chassis is fully refurbished, cavity waxed and anti-corrosion protected before a new engine, rebuilt gearbox and all of the running gear is fitted before the restored body together with the restored or upgraded interior are fitted. The process takes around 1500 hours, and the results are essentially reborn Range Rover Classic’s.

Parts Supply and Remanufacturing

Kingsley has a substantial parts and remanufacturing department where we also produce parts and period-correct interiors, door cards, carpets and roof linings, see our restoration section.

We also create unique automotive interiors in both leather and Alcantara for Land Rovers — have a look at the Upgraded Interior Trim’ page for inspiration for what we can do for your car or come and have a look at our demonstrators — we can make and supply the covers by mail order if you are on a different continent.

Providing a wide range of in-house services aids efficiency and more importantly affords a high degree of quality control which is not normally found at independent specialists. We are committed to providing the highest quality in every aspect of our business.
